KA'U - Ka `Oi No "The Best Indeed"
Hailing from the beautiful Ka'u district of the "Big Island", Hawai'i, come the musical group, KA'U.
KA'U released their debut album "Ku'u I'ini" in 1998 with founding members Demetrius Oliveira - ukulele, lead & background vocals & synthesizer, Greg Foxx - bass guitar, background vocals & songwriter and Leslie Gravela - guitar, lead & background vocals. The album became an immediate hit and KA'U, a household name in Hawai'i!
The very next year KA'U released their second and last album, "Footprints In The Sand", with additional members Bill Grannis - lead guitar & songwriter and Guy McKeague on drums.
Like the members of the band and the people of Hawai'i, the songs of KA'U are a diverse and unique blend of Hawaiian, Contemporary Island, Reggae, Paniolo (country) and Christian music.
From these albums come KA'U - Ka 'Oi No, translated, "The Best Indeed".
