We are helping the Hawaii Animal Sanctuary raise money to fund their day to day operations. This is an all volunteer organization. Their only source of funding is from donations from people who care. Is that you?
The Hawaii Animal Sanctuary is A No Kill Sanctuary that specializes in abused and abandoned animals. A safe haven is provided for all the animals that their resources allow. The guests/ residents at the Sanctuary are usually with the Santuary until they are adopted or they expire. Adoption is encouraged but most people want fuzzy and friendly perfect kittens and cats or puppies and dogs. Unfortunately, even though most of the guests/residents at the Sanctuary are friendly and long for attention, they are not adopted. Thus, the Sanctuary has a lot of mouths to feed, a lot of poop to scoop and a lot of care to give. The Sanctuary also have a hospital ward where the ill guests/residents can recover or are given a comfortable place to eat and sleep until they pass on.
The Hawaii Animal Sanctuary has been in operation since 1990. It's President and major care giver has been involved in pet and animal rescue and care for many years prior.
